Question:How to calculate the sum value

The NETIMPRESS sum value is a simple addition method that ignores overflow.

In addition, the addition data unit (8bit/16bit) and result display (8bit/16bit) can be switched in SUM Check Mode (FUNC 9C).

8/8bit: 8bit data addition / 8bit display
8/16bit: 8bit data addition / 16bit display
16/16bit: 16bit data addition / 16bit display

* The area for sum calculation when writing with the EPR command is the device.
This is the area set in the function execution target area (FUNC 0). (Default is the entire area of flash memory)

* When loading a file, be sure to clear the buffer before loading. If you do not clear the buffer, some of the previously loaded data will remain in the buffer memory, which may result in unintended garbage data being written. (At that time, the thumb value also changes.)

* Since the calculation target is the buffer memory area (default is the entire flash memory area of the microcomputer), the sum value and value of the object file to be loaded may differ. (The part where the data is not loaded is calculated assuming that there is FF data.)

* When using some definition programs, there are exceptions such as when CRC calculation is performed.
