Question:About HCUHEX format support

NETIMPRESS does not support HCUHEX files. For optional settings such as security, please set in the YDD file created separately by the customer. For details, refer to the manual of the definition program (control module) to be used.

The HCUHEX file is data in which attribute information (security, etc.) unique to the microcomputer is added to the HEX file. This is a special format format mainly used when supplying ROM write data to a microcomputer manufacturer with Renesas' old NEC microcomputers (V850, 78K0, RL78, etc.).

It can be generated by the HEX Consolidation Utility provided by Renesas.

Since the first line of the HCUHEX file is "/ Consolidated HEX;" and it does not match the Intel HEX format, NETIMPRESS does not recognize the Intel HEX format and loads it as a binary file. When loading as a binary image, the data will not be expanded correctly and the expanded data size will be larger than usual, so you will get an ADDRESS WARNING warning when loading. (Except when the warning output is set to OFF in FUNC 9E.)

* The second and subsequent lines are in the HEX file format.

* If you delete the first line with a text editor,it will become ADDRESS WARNING,but you can load the object data normally. The option data part is discarded by NETIMPRESS.
