Question:About the setting to shorten the programming time

The settings to shorten the programming time are as follows.

1. Faster baud rate setting

For clock synchronous communication: CSI Baud Rate (FUNC D9)
For UART communication: UART Baud Rate (FUNC D2)

* When using the definition program of 1 copy, the UART baud rate may not be changed in some cases above.

FUNC 88 needs to be set: FR801, FR802, FR805, FR826, FR850
FUNC 8D needs to be set: FR821
Items that need to be set in FUNC 80: FN851, FN858

* For the maximum baud rate that can be set, refer to the manual of the Micom Pack you are using.

2. Change verify mode

Changing from FULL READ to SUM READ simplifies the verification process and speeds it up.

* SUM READ is not recommended for production use.

3. Do not output BEEP sound (except G-NETIMPRESS and NETIMPRESS next)

You can turn off the BEEP sound setting with FUNC 91.

* On the remote controller, the BEEP sound setting can be changed on the Host Interface Configuration screen.

4. Reprogramming only a part of the area

Change the First Address / Last Address of the device function execution target area (FUNC 0) and reprogram only a part of the area.

* If you change FUNC 0, ADDRESS WARNING will appear when you select a folder, so change the WARNING display to OFF with FUNC 9F if necessary.

5. Execute the PROGRAM command on the erased flash memory to write only.

* Be sure to erase the microcomputer for which the blank state is not guaranteed.

6. In the ROM Block Configuration settings in Parameter Table 1, set the block size of the part where writing is skipped to 1.

* Some definition programs do not have write skip operation even if the block size is set to 1, so please contact our support center if you want to change it.
