Question:What are the object file formats supported by NETIMPRESS?

The file formats supported by NETIMPRESS are Motorola S, Intel HEX, and binary.

All file formats other than Motorola S and Intel HEX are treated as binary.

The method for determining the file type is as follows.



When loading object files in the YIM folder
The following judgment is performed.

Determine the file name extension

 (1) When extension is .S:Process as Motorola S file
 (2) When the extension is .HEX:Process as an Intel HEX file
 (3) When the extension is .BIN:Process as a binary file
 (4) Other extensions: Discrimination based on file contents (discrimination process (2) below)

Check the contents of the file

 (5) When the first line of the file is in Motorola S format
Process as Motorola S file
 (6) When the first line of the file is in Intel HEX total S format
Process as Intel HEX file
 (7) Other than above
Process as a binary file

* If the data at the beginning of the file is damaged,
Intel HEX file is incorrectly recognized as binary data
There are cases. In that case, the data expanded when the file is loaded
It exceeds the size of the buffer memory, and 102B ADDRESS WARNING
An error may occur.



When loading an object file on a PC with a remote controller
The following judgment is performed.

Check the contents of the file

 (1) When the first line of the file is in Motorola S format
Process as Motorola S file
 (2) When the first line of the file is in Intel HEX format
Process as Intel HEX file
 (3) Cases other than the above
Process as a binary file
