BMS-ECU (Battery Cell State Management) Software Verification

Battery management control data (over-charge, over-discharge, over-current, temperature rise, cell balance, etc.) of the BMS (Battery Management System) can be monitored in real-time at multiple points and verified and evaluated over long logs.

In BMS-ECU development, RAMScope is used to verify the function of correcting cell voltage capacity variations caused by repeated charging and discharging of lithium-ion batteries, as well as over-charge and over-discharge protection functions.
In RAM Measurement Data Acquisition, measuring 2048 internal variables with a 20 ms cycle (approx. 10 us per point) enables variable measurement approximately 100 times faster than CAN measurement (1 ms cycle). In order to manage remaining battery capacity, it is necessary to accurately estimate and manage the SOC (State Of Charge: remaining capacity).Improving the accuracy of SOC estimation will lead to improved electricity costs and longer range. The accuracy of SOC estimation can be verified by RAMScope's long-term logging and recording analysis of changes in the internal variable values of the BMS-ECU.
